Jack Elka

Born near Philadelphia in 1950 to a strong musical family, Jack’s father was a violinist. Jack started accordion lessons at age 6. He formed a band at 13 and switched to Hammond organ. He majored in music education at West Chester State University while playing in top rock bands in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the New York areas. Jack moved to Florida in 1980, playing solo in lounges and clubs until joining Billy Rice in 1983.  He is most influenced by  Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Hall & Oats, The  Rascals, YES, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, and Philly Soul.  He is the owner of Jack Elka Photography (jackelka.com).
